Our Vision About us

The project formed a Stakeholder Working Group. DBPL joined the working group along with 3 other participants from the private sector, 2 from the development community, and 2 from academia. The working group - with its expertise, knowledge, and relevant experience - will guide UNGC Bangladesh to implement its ideas, strategies, and other initiatives and strengthen Anti-Corruption Collective Action (ACCA) in the business environment of Bangladesh. The Local Network organises several ideation meetings to identify a specific corruption challenge in Bangladesh and based on the feedback create a roadmap for the next 2 years. Through this program, DBPL can highlight the corruption that they have faced, for example systematic corruption by different regulatory bodies, and contribute to a positive change.

Honest and ethical

UN Global Compact’s 10th Principle states that Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery. The objective of the 10th principle is to commit UN Global Compact participants to not only avoid bribery, extortion, and other forms of corruption, but also proactively develop policies and concrete programs to address corruption internally and within their supply chains.

DBPL is committed to conducting all its business honestly and ethically, and ensuring that it meets its legal obligations and notices, eradicates corrupt practices, and collaborates to reduce opportunities for bribery and corruption.

Advancing Collective action against Corruption working group

The United Nations Global Compact has launched a project through Global Compact Network Bangladesh (GCNB), called Advancing Collective Action against Corruption. This is a three-year global project launched in July 2021 to support Collective Action initiatives from GCNB, and promote public-private partnerships in fighting corruption.

About us  Newsroom

As a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact Initiative, I had the chance to represent DBPL and attend a few ideations sessions organised by United Nations Global Compact, Bangladesh over the last few weeks. The programs were focused on intense discussions about anti-corruption collective action in Bangladesh.
